Professional Experience
As a Senior Capital Markets Analyst on the Global Research team, Wei Luo works with Richard Barkham, CBRE’s Global Chief Economist to provide institution quality, in-depth research and analysis on the latest trends and influences shaping the commercial real estate investment world.
Wei has taken several roles within CBRE. She joined the company in 2014, working with an Industrial Transaction & Advisory team to build and visualize a regional property database. She then took up a research role in Philadelphia, focusing on the formation of a Retail research platform that collected, organized and validated retail industry and market information. In 2017, she moved to New York and joined the Americas Research team that supports national and international company leaders and clients. Her responsibilities mainly included data consolidation, project management and thought leadership.
Prior to joining CBRE, Wei graduated from the Penn State University with highest distinction from the Schreyer Honors College. Wei obtained a degree in Economics and a minor in Business with a Real Estate emphasis. Her interest and passion in real estate developed from working with real estate companies and Regional Development Authorities through a variety of academic practices.
