Mr. Novotny has over 20 years of professional experience in architecture. He has worked for several architecture firms in Colorado, and owned his own architecture firm for 8 years before coming to work for CBRE. Mr. Novotny is responsible for conducting and reviewing Property Condition Assessments (PCA) scopes including ASTM E2018, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and client specific requirements to facilitate real estate loan and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Novotny is a licensed architect in Colorado (2000). In addition, he holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification which allows for license reciprocity in most states. His work has focused primarily on the inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures as well as construction and constructability issues. Project types include but are not limited to Manufactured Homes, Multi-Family, Retail, Schools, Office Buildings, Mixed Use and Health Care Facilities.
Mr. Novotny has been engaged as a forensic architect in numerous cases and has testified at deposition and or trial over twenty times. He has been hired to investigate and design repairs for numerous building deficiencies, and defects; focused particularly on building envelope, and roof issues.
