Jim Roman serves as Director of the CBRE’s Asset Services operations in the Greenville-Spartanburg and Columbia markets of South Carolina. Jim helps building owners enhance the value of their investments. With CBRE specialists managing more than 15 million sq. ft. statewide, Jim and his network of specialists help reduce costs, streamline operations and create customized real estate solutions.
Jim leverages 20 years of industry experience to lead the property management, project management and technical facilities services, lease administration and property accounting teams. He leverages global best practices and real-time data to improve building operational performance. In addition to developing systems that drive efficiencies and owner/client satisfaction, Jim manages new business development and enhances CBRE’s market share.
Jim is a disciplined and passionate leader who motivates a diverse team, and has a proven track record in asset management and value creation for institutional and portfolio property owners.
Prior to joining CBRE, Jim served as the Director of Property Management with The Sembler Company. He had full financial and operational accountability for more than 6 million sq. ft. of retail property, and lead the operational integration of three newly developed mixed-use projects.
Jim’s prior experience with REITs and the private sector has provided an opportunity to utilize corporate best practices in the property management arena within the Southeast marketplace. He specializes in project management, troubled asset management and new development operations. He has worked as the General Manager for several large scale retail and mixed-use developments with The Mills Corporation, The Rouse Company, and Urban Retail Properties.
