Professional Experience

Carter Byrnes is a First Vice President in the McLean, Virginia office of CBRE, Inc.  With over 16 years of real estate experience in Virginia, Mr. Byrnes has specialized in both landlord and tenant representation and concentrates on several markets inside and outside of the Beltway, including Reston, Herndon, Fairfax, Tysons, Loudoun, Arlington and Alexandria.  Mr. Byrnes has negotiated over 3.1 Million square feet of lease and sale transactions with an aggregate value of over $525 Million dollars.

Mr. Byrnes leads the Healthcare Leasing Services Group in Virginia focusing on leasing and sales in the healthcare sector of Northern Virginia and is a member of the CBRE National Healthcare Services Group. Mr. Byrnes assists healthcare landlords and physician groups in developing and executing real estate strategies designed to achieve their occupancy and management objectives.

A native of Northern Virginia, Mr. Byrnes joined CBRE as a result of the July 2003 merger with Insignia/ESG, where he began working in 1999 as a Market Analyst covering all submarkets in Northern Virginia.
