Professional Experience

Andrew J. Sandquist is Executive Vice President of CBRE’s Corporate Capital Markets Group. Corporate Capital Markets plays an integral role in both the Capital Markets and Global Corporate Services groups providing capital markets advisory and execution expertise for planned and existing assets on behalf of corporate users, developers and owners. Expertise resident within Corporate Capital Markets includes finance, accounting, capital markets and development and construction. The group provides advisory and execution proficiency on a full range of real estate and credit-based transaction structures for single tenant and corporate owned properties.

Mr. Sandquist has more than 26 years of experience in structured finance and commercial real estate and he focuses on counseling clients regarding customized real estate monetization strategies. Mr. Sandquist utilizes his commercial banking and investment banking background to creatively structure, negotiate, price and finance leveraged real estate transactions. Mr. Sandquist has closed recent transactions representing over 104 million square feet and $6 billion in value across North America, Europe and Asia. 

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Sandquist spent four years as a principal in a middle market investment banking firm specializing in structuring and financing exit strategies for owners of middle market manufacturing companies and owners of commercial real estate. Prior to this, Mr. Sandquist held a position as a Vice President in LaSalle National Bank’s Commercial Banking Department. While at LaSalle National Bank, Mr. Sandquist specialized in advising and structuring leveraged ESOP financings for middle market clients. Mr. Sandquist also spent five years with The Northern Trust Company’s Commercial Banking Department. While at Northern Trust, he specialized in advising and structuring tax-exempt financing transactions for health care, educational, social service and cultural organizations. ​​​​​
